Our Tiny House Workshops

We offer courses that teach you how to design and build your own tiny house with a responsible ecological footprint. You CAN build a house that will lower your costs, save energy, help you live simply and work creatively with your available resources. These workshops are geared toward all skill levels, from custom builders to those who are just beginning their tiny house research journey.

This intensive hands on workshop with Kenton Zerbin covers the theory and practice of good building design, taking you through practical exercises so you can start planning and designing your own tiny house.

Students are walked through the various stages of construction, the “Big 5” technical topics (orientation, thermal mass, insulation, glazing, ventilation) trailer options, floor plans, legalities, and both on-and off-grid energy and utility systems and more.
